The CRHC was created by a group of medical and business professionals and is chartered as a 501 (c)(3) organization.
Council
Purpose and Responsibilities
- Creating a shared vision of regional health and wellness;
- Supporting the delivery and accessibility of high-quality, cost-effective health care;
- Encouraging innovative community collaboration and coordination of system resources;
- Promoting efforts to distribute consistent, core health and wellness education messages;
- Gathering and analyzing information to set priorities;
- Advocating policies and practices that promote health and wellness; and
- Identifying and responding to opportunities to eliminate disparities in health status.

Trident United Way's Vision Council
This council's vision: The tri-county region will be recognized as a "high performance health and wellness community" characterized by steady and measurable improvement in the health and wellness of its citizens and their access to quality medical care.
Well Region Initiative
The Well Region initiative is a program of WELCOA, the Wellness Councils of America, a nonprofit founded by Fortune 500 companies to stress the importance of workplace wellness.
Tri-County Project Care
Area hospitals, physicians and others chipped in with services and funding, and as a result this demonstration program showing that high-quality primary care and access to acute medical care could be provided for a relatively modest cost.
